And after it was revealed Anne Hathaway worked on what she would say as she claimed her Best Supporting Actress prize at The Academy Awards on Sunday, the star has admitted the negative reception has somewhat taken its toll on her.
She said about those nicknamed ‘Hatha-haters’: ‘It does get to me. But you have to remember in life that there's a positive to every negative and a negative to every positive.’

Meanwhile Anne has apologised for switching to a pale pink Prada gown for the red carpet at the last minute.
She said in a statement to People magazine: ‘It came to my attention late Saturday night that there would be a dress worn to the Oscars that is remarkably similar to the Valentino I had intended to wear, and so I decided it was best for all involved to change my plans.’
Her movie co-star Amanda Seyfried turned up in an Armani Prive gown very similar to the one she was expected to wear.
She continued: ‘Though I love the dress I did wear, it was a difficult last minute decision as I had so looked forward to wearing Valentino in honor of the deep and meaningful relationship I have enjoyed with the house and with Valentino himself.
‘I deeply regret any disappointment caused.’
With all the negative attention surrounding the star, she didn't look too joyful as she stepped out in Brentwood, California on Tuesday.
Pale Anne covered her eyes in dark sunglasses and accessorised with sandals and a snakeskin bag as she fashioned a floral maxi dress and chunky knit cardigan.
