Brit model Cara Delevingne might be racking up the column inches but in the fashion industry there's only one contender for the title of the world's top model and her name is Joan Smalls.
The Puerto Rican ranked number one in the models.com industry hot list of best models for 2012 thanks to the constant demand for her from leading photographers and fashion editors, global brands, magazines and fashion show producers.
And last night the 25-year-old showed why she deserves her place at the top as she smouldered for the cameras at former French Vogue editor Carine Roitfeld's Paris fashion party.
The willowy clothes horse looked every inch the supermodel in a chic black dress with a daring thigh-high split alongside fellow model Karlie Kloss and Givenchy designer, Riccardo Tisci.
Smalls has had a busy week with catwalk appearances at Givenchy, John Paul Gaultier and Stella McCartney, and she also appeared on the runway during H&M's inaugural show.
In Milan she appeared at Balmain, walked for Gucci, Fendi and Versace and she was the star of Tom Ford's London show - that's 13 shows in total in under three weeks.

Although Smalls remains the world's number one ranked model, a certain British model is hot on her heels, with a record 39 fashion week appearances in the last month and six lucrative advertising campaigns.
Cara Delevingne has spent the week walking for a veritable who's who of French designers, with appearances at Chanel, YSL and John Paul Gaultier to name but a few.
Although Delevingne has been dubbed the 'new Kate Moss' by some commentators, the original didn't appear unhappy to share the limelight and looked her professional best as she strutted down the catwalk in a short black wig.
While Moss has several S/S13 campaigns to look forward to, no one has as many as Delevingne, whose current campaigns include Burberry, DKNY, Zara TRF, Pepe Jeans and Hogan.
